Stitchin' 4 a mission

Finding God's grace in the folds of fabric

You are His

Just the other day I was thinking about all the people who consider themselves less than they truly are. God calls us his children and heirs to his throne. We are his, that means we are exactly what he says we are. He doesn’t say we are worthless, He tells us we are priceless.     Ladies, you are wanted, treasured, honored, and above all LOVED.

“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”                                                  Matthew 10:29-31 NI‭‭V

You are worth more than than two sparrows and the very hairs on your head are numbered. You matter to God.

Life in a battlefield.

You might be thinking about the war zones of Germany, Iraq, or Afghanistan. But if talking about the battlefield that Christians live through everyday. If you are a Christ follower you know what I’m saying, if your not, well then you have no idea what I am referring to.
We are at war with ourselves and what try’s to get inside us. The Devil is always on the hunt for our hearts. In the war we will go through hard trials. Tragic events, deaths, temptations, lust, depression, and other things of the same sort. These are all ways that Satan uses to distract us from our mission. We are here to shine God’s glory for all men to see. We might not see it but God has already won the victory.
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Corinthians 15:57 ESV

You are the light of the world!! So SHINE so others may see and praise your father in Heaven. He will show you what to do. I’m not saying it won’t be hard, but I will say it’s not easy. Although trials will come and go, God will not give more than you can handle.

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” 1 Cor. 10:13 NIV

He gives you trials and tribulations so that you will learn to trust in Him and lean on Him when you are in need. When you shine your light then people will see that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Pretty pillowcases

Pillowcases are always used, but not always in the way you think. For every one I sell, I will make a pillowcase dress for a little girl in Honduras.

They are $8 each. If you are willing to help the girls in Honduras, please leave a comment and let me know.

I make purses, tote bags, pillowcases, skirts, placemats, and Aprons. I am also having sewing classes. Earnings from sales go towards mission trips. As well as funds for the Good Shepherd Children’s Home in Honduras.

An idea

I’ve been a seamstress for quite some time and didn’t know that these purses would be the start of an idea. I sell these purses to raise money for mission trips and missionary funds.

The start

This is for all the wonderful people who say they can’t or they’re too young to make any difference. Don’t let anyone pressure you to think that you can’t do anything. I’m a huge believer in the saying “it’s biblical.”

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”   ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭NIV

See it’s biblical. All you need is Faith!
